The Master Cleanse - Day 1

I've decided to do the Master Cleanse aka Lemonade Diet. It should be noted that the goal of this is to cleanse out my system not necessarily lose weight. Why am i doing this? I don't know really, maybe the LA has sunk in.

The deal is you drink 10 cups of this water, fresh lemon juice, cayenne pepper, and maple syrup mixture a day. That's it! Its supposed to go for 10 days. Due to scheduling issues (a nice wine tasting and dinner) I will probably only do it for 5 or 7.

How's day one going? So far so good. I get waves of hunger (which is supposedly a sign that toxins are starting to be released) but nothing too serious. Not really cranky or moody, but I did notice I couldn't work as long of a day today. This is possibly due to me cutting back on the maple syrup in the recipe to reduce sugar intake. I think the hardest part about this fast is cutting out my evening vino.
